Geocache Description:

Drumtroddan Standing Stones is an alignment of 3 stones, 2 of which have fell (one very recently).  The area around the stones has never been archaeologically investigated, so little is known about the site. Together with the nearby cup and ring marked rocks the stones were probably erected around 4,000 to 5,000 years ago, during the Neolithic or early Bronze Age.

The area is very popular with walkers and cyclists however the cache is not accessible by wheelchair.  A nearby abandoned stone-walled farm building can also be investigated along the path to the standing stones from the B7021 where there is space for one car across from the entrance to the path.

The cache is a lockable box with spaces for swap items.

Parking is available at the end of the path at the gate. Be aware of any cattle in the field.
