What a hoot! Traditional Cache

This is an encased tube NOT the original clip box.

It was the first cache I placed with the help and assistance of Paul Joiner and Uggy who awarded me it at her meet.

There is wheelchair access to the hide but assistance would be required with retrieval. Free parking is available at the museum and if it is closed, there are plenty of places to park in the village.

The cache is located in the historic and tranquil village of Kirkleatham close to the grounds of Kirkleatham Old Hall (Grade 2 * Listed Building) which is now a popular museum. The Alms Houses, Church and Mausoleum also make this a location worthy of a visit.

Unfortunately, due to a flash flood at Kirkleatham on the evening of 6/09/2013, some amenities were temporarily closed but have now re-opened.
