Ground level ammo-can located under a fallen tree. This cache was named as result of a conversation I had with a sailor aboard a US Navy Cruiser docked in Duluth on Lake Superior. While checking out the ship and the weapon systems I was really interested in the Phalanx Gun. I told him I had done some work on Gatling style guns and I was really impressed with the Phalanx. He agreed but said they don't like to resort to using it because it was their last line of defense. That really made a huge impression on me fully appreciating their service and respecting those sailors.
This cache follows all the rules and guidelines of Sand Dunes State Forest and Groundspeak.
