"The Pits" are an area where many people ride dirtbikes, four-wheelers, or just walk (or, unfortunately, come to dump their trash). We have spent many hours hiking these desert trails made by dirtbikes and four-wheelers.
Unless you have an off-road vehicle, you will want to park at the baseball field. From there, it will about a 15 - 20 minute walk through desert terrain. Expect typical desert things: cacti, goatheads, ants, etc. The weather can be extremely hot and dry, so please stay hydrated. Follow the four-wheeler trails for your safety.
The cache itself is just a little off the trail, so be prepared to leave the trails when you get close. There is much trash in the "Pits" so please don't mistake our cache for trash!
