This is the 4th in a series following the characters from the children's story 'The Gruffalo'. The walk is about 1 and 1/2miles, not suitable for buggies and can be muddy. This 4th cache is where the character lives! This is our regular dog walk and we have spent many hours in these woods. Enjoy and happy caching.
If you find the co-ordinates to be out please let us know. Thanks
The red sandstone slopes of this area are home to several woods, Coed Y Wenallt is one. It is a 44 hectare area of designated ancient woodland which is also an SSSI. There is a great variety of bird and other wildlife. You could consider yourself unlucky if you didn't hear a Great Spotted Woodpecker, particularly in springtime when the sea of bluebells provides a visual treat. Permission has been kindly granted for this trail of geocaches from Cardiff Council and Natural Resources Wales. Congratulations to sniffadogz for FTF
