Nicolae Ceausescu started his political career as a charismatic patriot loved by most of the people. He continued as an opportunistic but smart leader, often appreciated at international level. And he tragically ended his life as a terrible dictator bringing incredible suffering to the whole nation.
He was sentenced to death on December 25, 1989 in the nearby building and he was executed immediately after.
