The Nore Valley Walk runs along the Nore from Kilkenny to Bennetsbridge (or the other way) and is around 11 kilometers of fields, river banks, forest tracks and a bit of road.
Trailhead is next to the butcher shop at the bridge in Bennetsbridge or at the ring road bridge over the Nore in Kilkenny
Beware that the track can be flooded in places in times with high waterlevels in the river and I can't recommend trying to find this cache if so.
I can't recommend cycling as there are a lot of fences to be crossed.
Dogs has to be on leads most of the way, and you can meat livestock on parts of the trail.
If walking with kids beware of the river banks which can be quite high and you walk very close to/on them at times.
Please practise Coilte's "Leave No Trace" policy (even though it isn't Coilte land) and you are encouraged to do of bit of trash collecting so the walk will be pleasant for the next ones who visit.
The caches are all film cannisters and most of them should be rather easy to find while a few can be a bit more challenging, but the idea with this series is to get people to experience the walk. Have a good trip and take care of yourself.
