This park sits in the middle of Illinois Institute of Technology, right next to Perlstein Hall which houses the Dean of School of Applied Technology and the Dean of Armour School of Engineering. The park is on record as the smallest city park in Chicago, measuring about 6' x 9'. In 1986 George Segal was commissioned to create a sculpture for the 100 year birthday of Mies van der Rohe. The BF Fergusion Fund of the Art Institute of Chicago, which paid for the work of art, is committed to devoting works of art to public lands - and IIT is a private University. So, IIT deeded the small area to the City of Chicago Park District.
