This is a bison tube hidden outside of a very old private cemetery. You do not have to enter the cemetery to find the cache. The container is no longer on the fence as it just got too rusty. If you choose to visit it, please show respect for this cemetery, which is recorded in the National Register of Historic Places. There is an obelisk at the top of the knoll with the Patterson/Hooper family names on it. They were the early residents of the Amos Patterson House (Washington Hall) that you drove by to get to the cache area. There is also a magnificent old oak tree by the obelisk. Bring your own pen/pencil.
It's best to park on the cemetery side of the road where there is room to pull over.
