Jasmine is group of vines and shrubs in the olive family, containing around 200 species. It is best grow in warm and tropical regions and native to Europe, Africa and Asia. It is popular due to their strong fragrance. It is commonly used in teas, syrups, essential oils and perfumes. There are several countries and states which have Jasmine as their national flower. These include Hawaii, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Philippines. Damascus in Syria translates to ‘City of Jasmine’.
