This cache is in the Dolly Sods Wilderness of Monongahela National Forest in West Virgina. Reaching this cache will require many miles of hiking from trailheads on the east, south or west. Either a full day or overnight backpacking trip is recommended. But the area is gorgeous with dense hardwood forest, rushing streams and the alpine-like sods to the north.
The confluence of the Red Creek and its left fork is a popular spot for camping and swimming. There are many campsites here which could contain heretofore uninitiated geocachers, recruite them!
The cache container is a tube with log and pencil. There is a necklace bead for the first to find.
