Geocache Description:

A series of caches that will build to an A – Z of spices.

Each cache includes a clue which will provide information for a future cache.

Brought to you by Jedika98 and Doctor Owl, with occasional assistance by Sister Raven.

Also known as Daun Salam, the leaves are used in Indonesian and Malay cooking. They are similar in appearance to ordinary bay leaves, but have an aromatic and slightly sour flavour. It is usually cooked with meat and only occasionally with vegetables. It is hard to find out of Indonesia. It is also known as Indian bay-leaf. This name stems from the time when Indonesia was generally known as East India and is misleading, because it is totally different from the Indian bay leaf that is frequently mentioned in books on Northern Indian cuisine.

Note: The cache is a short walk from the Parsons Beach lookout. You can't see Indonesia from here, but you can see a bay or two. Be careful with children, as the area is not fenced. Not recommended for night - not only is it dangerous, but you won't get the view.
