Geocache Description:

Placed with permission from the Redbank Valley Trails Assn (RVTA). See below for closest parking coords. Trail is open dawn to dusk. There is food and fuel in Widnoon, 3 miles from the parking area. Trail surface won't be improved until 2014, but it isn't very rocky on this section due to this being used recently as a road. The cache, however, IS in a rocky area within 25' of the trail.

Congratulations to SpaceDrum for FTF.

This is in a remote area so be aware that you could see all types of wildlife.  It would be advisable to wear orange during hunting season since you are in the woods. I'm bumping all the difficulty and terrain ratings up slightly along here due to signal bounce and trail surface (plus the distance from the next closest parking area).

Milkweed, aka Common Milkweed, grows up to 5' tall and has pinkish-purple flowers. In the fall it gets pods on it that burst open with seeds attached to soft "down" (like soft downy feathers).  The Butterfly Weed (orange flowers) is also a member of this family and gets the same type of pods. During wartime this "down" was gathered by civilians and used in life preservers and vests for our soldiers overseas.
