Quando si faccia il mare, il villaggio prima di voi è Moltedo. Si trova alla testata del valletta del rio che prende il nome dal paese, il Rio Moltedo. Un tempo il paese era diviso nelle due borgate di Moltedo Superiore e Moltedo Inferiore. I due nuclei sono sempre stati divisi: nel medioevo la prima apparteneva alla Contea di Prelà e la seconda a quella di Porto Maurizio. In seguito, durante il XVII e XVIII secolo, la borgata superiore appartenne al Piemonte e quella inferiore alla Repubblica di Genova. Fu in passato comune autonomo, prima di partecipare nel 1923 alla creazione del comune di Imperia.
Sulla vostra destra è Vasia. Il borgo è situato alle falde del monte Acquarone. Nel Medioevo il comune venne compreso nella Castellania di Pietralata Superiore, legando la sua storia medioevale al vicino comune di Prelà. Divenne dominio feudale dei signori di Ventimiglia e successivamente della famiglia Lascaris. Passò alla famiglia reale Savoia, quindi nel Regno di Sardegna e definitivamente nel Regno d'Italia.

When you face the sea, the village before you is Moltedo. It is located at the head of the valley where the river Rio Moltedo gave its name. At one time the country was divided into two villages: Upper Moltedo and Lower Moltedo. The two villages have always been divided: the first time in the Middle Ages when it belonged to the county of Prelà and the second time when it belonged to the county of Porto Maurizio. Later, during the XVII and XVIII centuries, Upper Moltedo belonged to Piedmont and Lower Moltedo to the Republic of Genoa. It was once an independent municipality, before joining the municipality of Imperia in 1923.
On your right is Vasia. The village is located at the foot of Mount Acquarone. In the Middle Ages the town was part of the Upper Castellany of Pietralata. The nearby medieval town of Prelà shares the same history. It became the feudal domain of the lords of Ventimiglia before becoming the one of the Lascaris family. It then belonged to the Royal House of Savoy, to the Kingdom of Sardinia and finally to the Kingdom of Italy.

Wenn man Richtung Meer schaut, dann ist die nächste Ortschaft unten im Tal das Dorf Moltedo. Es liegt am Ursprung des "Rio Moltedo"-Tales, der dem Dorf seinen Namen gegeben hat. Früher war das Dorf zweigeteilt: Unter-Moltedo und Ober-Moltedo. Die beiden Dörfer waren schon von jeher getrennt. Im frühen Mittelalter unter der Grafschaft von Prela, später dann als das Tal zur Grafschaft Porto Mauricio gehörte. Im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert war Ober-Moltedo Teil von Piedmont und Unter-Moltedo Besitz der Republik Genua. Bis 1923 war Moltedo eine eigene Gemeinde, bis es dann in Stadt Imperia eingemeindet wurde. Zu Eurer Rechten liegt Vasia. Das Dorf liegt am Fusse des Monte Aquarone. Im Mittelalter war der Ort Teil der Burgwartschaft von Pietralata. Die nahe gelegene mittelalterliche Stadt Prelà teilt diese Geschichte. Erst wurde die Gegend zur Lehensherrschaft der Herren von Ventimiglia geschlagen, dann gehörte sie der Familie Lascaris. Später dann hatten das Haus von Savoyen, dann das Königreich Sizilien und schließlich das Königreich Italien die Herrschaft über Prela und Umgebung.

Fut un temps, la municipalité gagna son indépendance, avant de rejoindre la commune d'Imperia en 1923. Sur votre droite, la commune de Vasia. Le village est situé au pied du Mont Acquarone. Au Moyen Age, la ville faisait partie de la Haute Châtellenie de Pietralata. La ville médiévale de Prelà à proximité, partage la même histoire. Elle devint le fief des seigneurs de Vintimille avant de devenir celui de la famille Lascaris. Puis, elle appartint à la Maison de Savoie, au Royaume de Sardaigne et enfin au Royaume d'Italie. .
