Geocache Description:

A traditional cache on a beautiful tropical beach.

The cache is located within the Ha’atafu Beach Reserve, about 25 minutes drive from the Tongan capital, Nuku’alofa.  The Ha’atafu Beach Reserve is a beautiful stretch of white coral sand beach offering very good snorkelling, especially if you are confident enough to swim out past the break line. Most of the resorts on the main island of Tongatapu are located along this stretch of beach.

Cache is a small Sistema container, hidden behind a rock. It is 10-15m from a concrete survey marker (Ht 1 survey 2.11.92) at 30 degrees. A clamber up a small rocky sea cliff is required to access GZ. Please take care to replace the cache behind its rock to prevent muggling.

Small note on cache maintenance: There is a local cache guardian. Name and contact info on file with geocaching.com.
