Geocache Description:

Sunset Park is now a quiet middle class comunity filled with cute old homes, but back in 1912 when the development was established it was the largest acreage by far ever handled locally for subdivision. The Fidelity Trust & Development Company purchased the 600-acre tract on March 9, 1912. The original owner T.F. Boyd of Hamlet, North Carolina sold the land for a whopping $35,000.00. Sunset Park was envisioned by the Fidelity Development & Investment Company as a high-class, planned community with views overlooking the Cape Fear River and picturesque Greenfield Lake. A lot has changed in the passing hundred years and any lake or river views have since been obstructed by the city growing around it, but that doesn't make this area any less beautiful or historic. The cache you seek is a magnetic nano at a small park in this community.
