Geocache Description:

This cache is in a place where we could maintain it easily, the edge of our front yard. Our road is a dead end and has an easy turn around. Cache is unique in many ways. Very easy to spot. Please do not worry about the "no trespassing" or "beware dog" sign at the mailbox. That is for solicitors only and there is an underground fence. Our dogs are older and they stay inside mostly. If this was a major concern, we would have never put this cache there.

Halloween is our favorite holiday and we also were married in October. We, (ghosthunter23 & mount_airync) worked on this cache together for our anniversary, so it's kind of special.

This container was designed with a specific look in mind. What is surrounding it is a plant that has been transplanted from another part of this town. This plant at one time was a single bush. Over the years it has expanded into this gigantor monster!

The Yucca is a genus of perennial shrubs and trees in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Agavoideae. Its 40-50 species are notable for their rosettes of evergreen, tough, sword-shaped leaves and large terminal panels of white or whitish flowers. They are native to the hot and dry (arid) parts of North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Early reports of the species were confused with the cassava (Manihot esculenta). Consequently, Linnaeus mistakenly derived the generic name from the Carib word for the latter, yuca (spelled with a single "c"). It is also colloquially known in the Midwest United States as "GHOSTS IN THE GRAVEYARD", thus the naming of the cache itself. It is commonly found growing in rural graveyards and when in bloom the cluster of (usually pale) flowers on a thin stalk appear as floating apparitions.

When opening the door, there are 2 things to keep in mind. (1) There is a small plastic tab to the right that holds door closed. Please move it down before trying to open the door. (2) After the small plastic tab is moved down, the front hook can be used to pull door open. Please place the small plastic tab back into position to hold door closed after you are finished. We have added a small lock and lock for tradeable items, hooks to hang TB trackables and a log book and pen. Please be careful, the plant is in no way poisonous but the leaves are like daggers. The cache is not in the plant but the leaves do hurt if messed with. If you take a TB please log it and move it along quickly. This cache also honors all the little TB's that have been lost along the way. May they R.I.P. Enjoy and cache on!
