Event Cache to look foward to a succesfull launch.

NASA Astronaut Rick Mastracchio

Meet at the Metropolitian Bar Baker Street between 6 to 10 pm

A travel bug is being taken to the Internation Space Station by NASA Astronaut Robert Mastracchio. Drink a toast to the travel bug which should soon be orbiting the earth and the intrepid astronaut cacher. The launch is due to take place from Kazakhstan at 4.08 GMT on Thursday 7th November 2013 which will be 6th November at 8.08pm in Los Angeles.

As this is a real rocket launch it could be delayed but Groundspeak will be awarding a "Geocaching in Space Souvenir" for every Geocacher who attends a Geocaching event on Noevember 6 or 7 2013. So there is no reason why we should not have an event to wish Rick Mastracchio and the Travel Bug a succesful launch.

Space Hardware and brave little Travel Bug

Unfortunately I have never been into space but I will bring along to the event some items which have been or come from outer space.

We will also launch a few rockets of our own. Any small light weight TBs or path tags which want to volunteer as to be an astronaut are welcome! No trainning required for the volunteer TBs or path tags.
