Tanked Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Pink Bling, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

CADDADUP RESERVE: Aboriginal name for the area suggested by the Mandurah Tourist Bureau and approved on May 22nd, 1972. The reserve was originally created in 1895 as a "resting place for travellers and stock" and the area was known locally as "Caddadup Reserve" at least as early as 1930. The purpose of the reserve was changed to "recreation and camping" and it was vested in the Shire of Mandurah in 1958. In 1961 the rifle range closed.

Aboriginal people would climb the hill to see where smoke was coming from to help identify where other tribes were situated.

Take a slow climb as it is quite steep over a good distance.  Access is best from the estuary side up a path already cleared, I think it used to be an old road originally.

You are looking for a 250ml plastic container.  It contains a log, a pencil and a newly activated geocoin to start it's adventures.

It proved very difficult to get exact coordinates as the GPS was jumping around alot.  They are as best as I could get.
