Geocache Description:

Placed with permission from the Redbank Valley Trails Assn (RVTA). See below for closest parking coords. Trail is open dawn to dusk. There is food and fuel in Widnoon, 3 miles from the parking area. Trail surface won't be improved until 2014 and is rocky along this section. You're looking for a 4x4x2" container within 20' of the trail - shouldn't be too hard to find.

Congratulations to SmokeyBear1 for FTF.

This is in a remote area so be aware that you could see all types of wildlife. It would be advisable to wear orange during hunting season since you are in the woods. I'm bumping all the difficulty and terrain ratings up slightly along here due to signal bounce and trail surface (plus the distance from the next closest parking area).

Butterfly Weed is the plant with those bright orange flowers on it we see along the roadside each summer. It likes to grow in dry and sandy soils. It grows up to 28" high. It belongs to the same family as milkweed and in the Fall it gets long skinny pods on it like milkweed does.
