A Travel Bug is hitching a ride with American astronaut Rick Mastracchio on the 38th expedition to the International Space Station. Mastracchio will be using the Travel Bug as an educational tool to help teach students around the world about geography and provide other educational lessons. He’ll also find the International Space Station geocache while living aboard the ISS for 6 months. The mission is scheduled to launch from Kazakhstan at 11:08 PM EST on November 6.

About NMAC: With a large number of geocachers between I-20 and I-75, the Northwest Metro Atlanta Cachers moniker was created to bring these cachers together! We host "Eat & Greet" dinners on the second Thursday of every month and will occasionally have informative meetings, CITO events, flash mob events and other group events. The goal is to get to know the other geocachers in our community and have a good time fellowshipping with each other. Finally put faces with the names you keep seeing in the logs!
Visit the Northwest Metro Atlanta Cachers profile page and join our Facebook group to stay updated on upcoming NMAC events as well as make suggestions.
