Bash&Dodge: Out on a lovely day to do some cache checking and maintaining (or in some cases removing geo litter to archive). We saw loads of little babies today...grebes, mallards and moorhens...all cute and fluffy.
Sadly it seems that people don't always appreciate the field puzzle element of a fun cache and seem determined to use brute force to locate the cache container.
After replacing and fixing this one several times we have decided to archive it, especially as the land owner had never actually been asked permission to set it!
The idea was to use the provided container (which was still there in plain sight) to obtain water from the nearby water source (a canal). Then pour the water quickly into the tube before it drained out through the sneaky holes to float the container to the top.
Sadly, forcing the tube from its attachment to tip out the cache seemed some peoples' preferred method!
Thanks to those who have played along and enjoyed it as it was intended
