The Arkansas 5000 Club would like to invite you to come to Russellville to help Backpacknjack, CFD29, Idratherbehiking, Kyle & Ann, Mickey McGillicutty, Quartzcachers, Razorback01, and Yazz celebrate their 5000th find. The event will be in Russellville, from 12:00-2:00pm on November 2, 2013. We will have achievement awards to present to each of these cachers in celebration of their 5000th find. Stories about their exploits are also welcome.

It is Arkansas 5000 Club tradition to list the first geocaching log ever written by each of the inductees on the event page celebrating their 5000th find:

This was Backpacknjack's first log, written September 22, 2003: Been here more then once to prove where the geo. center of Arkansas was but this was the first time I got to log the visit. LIL-SISTER was with me on this one also because she once lived very close to there.

This was CFD29's first log, written September 9, 2003:
Found easily
Took a small lanyard
Left an Arkansas Razorback card holder with John Deere tag and penny in it

This was Idratherbehiking's first log, written October 13, 2003: I am new to this and this is my first cache. This one was pretty easy to find. I found it without gps.
took topo map
left green caribeener

This was Kyle & Ann's first log, written July 2, 2012: First find! Thanks so much! On our way!

This was Mickey McGillicutty's first log, written April 25, 2010: This was our first family find! Took us awhile to figure out how the GPS really worked. We were walking around in circles for awhile. The grounds keeper mowing the lawn probably wondered what we were up to... It was so fun and the kids were excited! We love it! Didn't take anything, but left an orange squishy toy ball. The cocka-roachs will have so much fun! LOL

This was Quartzcachers' first log, written march 25, 2007: Our first geochaching experience. From forest road J60 it is an easy find! For a real challenge, go to the end of road J604 and start from there. There is a beautiful stream with waterfalls, and rocks you can use to cross over, but also rough terrain, and watch for snakes. Not for the feint of heart!

This was Razorback01's first log, written August 19, 2008: Very thrilled! This was our first find. We're hooked now. This is something fun to do in your spare time. Thanks

This was Yazz's first log, written November 12, 2007: Found 4:00 pm

As always, it is not required to buy a meal, but please do not bring anything into the restaurant to eat or drink.

Hope to see you all there!!
