The horseshoe pits have been a part of this landmark establishment since the 1970's. In 2008, a beautiful log shelter was put over 3 of the pits. This cache was placed with permission of the owner, Ruth Kompkoff.
During the summer there maybe someone practicing their toss any day of the week. From May through September, every Wednesday at 7pm, there is a tournament that is open to everyone 18 and older, regardless of skill level. It is double elimination and everyone has fun. Use stealth if the pits are being used. This cache is winter friendly. It is a cammoed container. Bring your own pencil or pen. Pathtags will fit in the container!! I'll try to keep a few in the cache.
