On 6th or 7th of November depending on which country one lives in, Richard Mastracchio is taking off from a launch site in Kazakhstan bound for the International Space Station. What is unusual about his visit is that he is taking a geocaching travelbug with him and he will also be logging the ISS cache (GC1BE91) while he is on board.
The idea of this event is to give people an opportunity to claim the Geocaching in Space Souvenir which is being made available by Groundspeak to every cacher who attends an event on the 6th or 7th November.
I'm conscious of the fact that Boddah666 has an event arranged for the following week and I don't want to take anything away from that, so I'm styling this as a drop-in event for anyone who wants to pop in for a drink and a brief chat before making their way home. There will, of course, be food available if you want to stay for tea and Glen has generously said that he will do two fish and chips or two chicken curries for £10. The evening menu will also be available and you can order from that on the night.
I will be around with Mrs Z from 6.00pm and we look forward to seeing anybody who feels like dropping in. Please say in your log if you want the fish and chips or curries deal but you must order two of the same.
