The Cache is a Micro (50 ml Test tube)
Ha-Rogem is actually a great heap of stones, one of 19 cairns found in West Jerusalem, and the largest ( height 9m and diameter 42m). The Heap deliberately established in the Iron Age (affiliated with the period of Israeli settlement in the country).
The role of the cairn is unclear. Some researchers believe that building the cairn associated with agricultural activities in the organization, but other scholars believe that the cairns were used as places of cremation ceremonies kings of Judah (Hint appears in Jeremiah 34:5 - Prophet Jeremiah to the king Zedekiah about his fate from the Babylonians: " But thou shalt die in peace and with the burnings of thy fathers the former kings which were before thee so shall they burn odours for thee" ) . third version claims that the cairn was a ritual for worshiping God , but covered as part of the religious reforms of King Josiah .
On the south-east side of the cairn is a complex system of facilities for wine - Gat, accommodation pits, caves and more.
Observation site is currently limited due to extensive construction , but you can see well the Ghost River (Nahal Refaim) area and Beit-Gila Ridge beyond , including Gilo , Batir , Lavan Ridge , Mt. Ora and Moshav Ora. Mt. Ora is the highest peak in the Jerusalem hills ( 839 meters) , but taken by the military for decades.
Winter and spring flowering lush place , especially blue salvia blooming here from mid March - Wildflower protected and beautiful , a few individuals have survived in South Hill . Other species include Moraea sisyrinchium, Anchusa strigosa, Orchis caspia, lotus Yehuda and more.
הרוגם הוא למעשה גל אבנים גדול, אחד מ- 19 רגמים שנמצאו במערב ירושלים, והגדול שבהם (גובהו 9 מ' וקוטרו 42 מ'). גל האבנים הוקם במכוון בתקופת הברזל (המזוהה עם תקופת התיישבות בני ישראל בארץ). תפקידו של הרוגם אינו ברור. חלק מהחוקרים סבורים שבניית הרוגם קשורה לארגון הפעילות החקלאית באזור, אולם חוקרים אחרים סבורים כי הרגמים שימשו מקומות לטקסי שריפת גופות מלכי יהודה (רמז לכך מופיע בירמיהו ל"ד פסוק 5 - דברי הנביא ירמיהו למלך צדקיהו לגבי הגורל הצפוי לו מידי הבבלים: "בְּשָׁלוֹם תָּמוּת, וּכְמִשְׂרְפוֹת אֲבוֹתֶיךָ הַמְּלָכִים הָרִאשֹׁנִים אֲשֶׁר-הָיוּ לְפָנֶיךָ כֵּן יִשְׂרְפוּ-לָךְ"). גירסה שלישית טוענת כי הרוגם היה אתר פולחן ששימש לעבודת האל, אולם כוסה כחלק מהרפורמות הדתיות של המלך יאשיהו.
בצד הדרומי-מזרחי של הרוגם נמצאת מערכת מורכבת של מתקנים לייצור יין - גת, בורות איכסון, מערות ועוד. התצפית מהאתר כיום מוגבלת בשל הבינוי הנרחב, אך ניתן לראות היטב את אזור נחל רפאים ורכס בית-גילה שמעבר לו, כולל שכונת גילה, הכפר בתיר, רכס לבן, הר אורה (בפסגתו נמצאת אנטנה ומבנה צבאי גדול) ומושב אורה. הר אורה הוא הפסגה הגבוהה ביותר בהרי ירושלים (839 מ'), אולם תפוס ע"י הצבא עשרות שנים. בחורף ובאביב המקום שופע פריחה, ובפרט מרווה כחולה הפורחת כאן החל מאמצע מרץ - צמח בר מוגן ויפהפה, שפרטים מעטים שלו שרדו בדרום הגבעה. מינים נוספים כוללים צהרון מצוי, לשון-פר סמורה, סחלב פרפרני, לוטוס יהודה ועוד.
