Geocache Description:

Our original "Sighing Pines" cache was archived on 13 October 2013, following a significant logging operation. We would like to keep a cache within a short walking distance of the main carpark... so here is "Sighing Pines 2". Park Hours: Summer [Labour Weekend to Easter] 7am to 9pm. Winter: 8am to 5pm.

Sighing Pines 2 is one of a number of caches on the 3.5km Te Rerenga Tunnel Track. This loop track is at the TECT All Terrain Park which is situated off State Highway 36 (Pyes Pa Road), the main road link between Tauranga and Rotorua. The park is 29 kms from Tauranga, 30 kms from Te Puke, and 27 kms from Rotorua.

The photo above will assist in locating GZ, which is just a step from the right hand side of the track, when approaching from the carpark. The cache is a 1 litre sistema.
