Geocache Description:

The cache is located in a fairly recent (2011) purchase by Eugene Parks & Open Spaces, named Suzanne Arlie Park. There are plans to eventually develop trails within the park (extending to the Ridgeline Trail on nearby Mt. Baldy), but for now it’s vacant land, with some remnants from its past still standing. While you’re at the cache, poke your head underneath the nearby cedar trees to see the rest of the remnants.

There’s plenty of parking at the waypoint. Short hike (1.3 mi. round trip) along gravel and dirt/grass roads with very mild elevation gain (less than 150 feet). There’s a City of Eugene sign on the gate so you’ll know you’re at the right place. You can get to parking GZ from off Dillard Road (Dillard to N. Hideaway Hills to Hampton to Scharen) or from off Hwy. 99 just south of Goshen (Hwy 99 to Hampton to Scharen).
