When we enter a rainforest, we often walk around looking up into the trees at all of the great stuff you can see hanging around. This hidden little rainforest is no exception and has a surprising little souvenir from Cyclone Tracy's visit back in 1974.
Apart from all the cool things like colourful fruits or the fruit bats that munch on them, you can also spot a bit of debris that was blown in here when cylone Tracy came through. If you park at the off street car park (S 12° 27.102 E 130° 50.504) and walk along the inside of the fence line, you will find yourself on a walking track. Continue along this track to S 12° 27.124 E 130° 50.503 (the WP).
Here you can see a large fig tree. During cylone Tracy a sheet of roofing iron was blown into this tree. There it has stayed with the tree growing all around it.
Continue on this path down to the GZ for the cache. This is a nice shady little patch of rainforest in the middle of suburbia. Satlock can be quite poor in here however so a hint has been provided. The cache is also in the area shown by this picture:
