On the way to this geocache you will drive through the small, but perfectly formed, Curramore Sanctuary, a 175ha reserve managed by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. It is a nice example of western Blackall Range forest but as far as I know it is not open for general access. Don't tarry long here dear cachers because it is also a popular place for locals to relocate venomous wildlife!
A little further along you will have beautiful views of the Conondale valley to the west and Obi Obi valley to the north. There's nowhere to stop along this ridge so take it slowly around the bends! Your passengers can tell you about the views. :)
There is a short stretch of single lane gravel road that winds through the gums as you approach the cache, but plenty of space for parking when you get there. Enjoy your time in this peaceful place.
