I have been having fun with my kids and the English language lately by using plays on words, where words or phrases that sound similar to other words or phrases change the meaning of a sentence, or provide a dual meaning. My daughter likes Knock Knock jokes, her favourite being:
Her: Knock Knock.
Me: Who's there?
Her: Boo.
Me: Boo who?
Her: Don't cry.
Or this conversation overheard:
Boy: What did you get on your test?
Girl: Fifty.
Boy: I got fifty too.
Girl: You got fifty-two?
Some other notables:
- When a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds.
- Show me a piano falling down a mine shaft and I'll show you A-flat minor.
- The man had a photographic memory which was never developed.
- Police were called to a daycare where a three year old was resisting a rest.

My Rant
You know what bugs me? My lawn. I don't like it. I don't like to mow it. And that is provided I have a lawn to mow. Sometimes the grubs eat it and then there is a big dead patch of dirt. Well, not completely dead, as the weeds take up residence. So the weeds need to be removed, the dirt seeded, and then fertilized. It seems like an endless cycle. There are much better ways to spend my time. I don't like my lawn.
OK, I got the rant started. When you post your find, have some good clean fun and rant about something, or have some word play fun. (This is optional and not a requirement for logging your find.)
