This road was laid out in 1922 as the Fort Nelson Freight Trail. It opened up a land route to the communities of Blueberry (now Wonowon), Buick Creek and Prespatou. Many miles north is the Beatton Airport Strip used for emergency landings in the early days of flights between the US and Fairbanks, Alaska.
The cache is located at the site of an old hunt camp north of Km marker 8. Lots of off-road parking. A camo'd plastic jar, please tighten the lid. CITO is appreciated in this beautiful place.
