How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A casual get-together for the Mid-Cities area to watch the launch of the travel bug to space (see below).  There is wi-fi available, so bring your laptop or other internet-capable device.  Launch time is at 10:08 PM, but the log will be available at 7:30.  Stay for the whole time, or drop in as you can - it's a school/work night.

From the Geocaching website:

Geocaching is heading towards the International Space Station (ISS). All of geocaching? No, not all of it, but a very special little Travel Bug® named TB5JJN1 is tagging along with Nasa astronaut Rick Mastracchio on his mission to the ISS. Mastracchio will be using the Travel Bug as an educational tool to help teach students around the world about geography and geocaching. Mastraccio will Rocket into Space on November 7, 2013 (GMT). Every geocacher who attends a Geocaching Event on November 6 or 7, 2013 will be awarded a “Geocaching in Space” souvenir.

Come join us at the caffeine-related business for caching talk and a rocket launch (we hope!). No prizes, no costumes (unless you really want to), just a friendly cachers' get-together.
