Aikengall a very popular place for locals from Dunbar to celebrate easter, enjoying picnics & BBQ's etc & again a very popular place for locals to spend a night or two under canvas during the summer months, BUT Aikengall is probably more famous for it's Adder population with it's thick ground cover of Bracken & Gorcsh, a perfect home for this little reptile.
If you come across an Adder while searching for this cache stay well clear ! These snakes are protected under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 & is an offence to kill harm or injure them. The Adder is the U.K's only venomous snake & although a bite is rarely fatal symtoms such as dizzieness, vomiting & painfull swelling & loss of mobility to the affected limb are not uncommon within hours of a bite.
To find this cache cross the cattle grid, park your car ( off the road ) to the left there is a small burn which you need to cross, a line of beech trees heading uphill, walk up the hillside behind these trees where there is a large fallen limb & your not too far away from the cache, co-ords are a bit iffy for this location hence the extra clues.
Oh & one last thing this cache may bite :-) !!!!
