Geocache Description:

Even a caveman should have fun searching for this cache.

The Redmond Caves were formed by volcanic flows of molten lava from the distant Newberry Caldera, about 80,000 years ago.  At this location, there are 5 different caves of varying depth and lengths to explore.  The underground extent of the caves is shown on one of the signs based on a SURVEY done by local cavers and the BLM in 1997.
