Small/micro cache placed in the old, rural Spicklemire Cemetery.
There is only 1 road in to this old cemetery, and the road only goes to the cemetery. I have (so far) been unable to find any info on the history of Spicklemire Cemetery but I'll keep looking! There are lots of very old graves here, some broken headstones & some perched on the edge of a steep drop-off down to the creek on the western edge. I suspect they may fall down the slope if the erosion continues
The cache itself is placed on the edge of the burial area, but you will need to walk through the graves to get to it.
Be careful - the ground is uneven & there may be poison ivy, ticks, chiggers, etc.
PLEASE NOTE! The road & the cemetery itself are accessible to the public but the surrounding lands are private property & are marked as such. Please respect the neighbors & stay within the cemetery & the road leading to it. Thank you!!
