Geocache Description:

This caches is part of a series of caches along the David Ammerman Memorial Rails to Trails.

This Rails to Trails is just over 10 miles long and spans Clearfield to Grampian. It follows the West Branch of the Susquehanna River from Clearfield to Curwensville and then Kratzer Run to Grampian. From Curwenville to Grampian the trail has a 4% plus grade which is high for a railroad. If you are biking that means a harder ride toward Grampian but the plus is you can literally coast back to Curwensville from Stronach.

River Monster has hidden caches between Clearfield and the old railroad bridge.  The Rockton Raiders have hidden caches from Stronach to Grampian.  I have filled in the gap between Clearfield and Stronach.  As a bonus, my Douglas Brubaker Memorial multi-cache (GC16DZX) located between Curwensville and Stronach. This cache has seldom been sought but now everyone has an excuse to take on the challenge.

This trail has a great varity of scenery and can be hiked, bike, or jogged. This trail is great for kids on their feet or in their strollers, or dogs on a leash.  Have fun and cache on!
