Geocache Description:

Camo bison tube in the park.

I have placed a series of caches in parks located in Cambridgeport.  I grew up in this neighborhood and have many fond memories of these parks.  My hopes are that you will create some as well when visiting these caches.  All of these parks have been updated in recent years.  The three recently reopened parks (Old Morse School, Alberico, Fulmore) all have modern structures and play areas that I am sure will be new to many that visit.  ***Please note that google satellite images are not up to date***

Dana Park - (CPPS #4)

N 42 21.685 W 071 06.454

Dana Park is located on Magazine Street between Corporal McTernan and Lawrence Streets in the Cambridgeport neighborhood. Park renovations were completed in 2004. The park provides opportunities for both passive and active recreation with a playground, water play feature, sitting area, open lawn and basketball courts.  This is one of the parks I spent most of my time growing up at.  Although renovations were done in 2004, much of the park remained the same.  They updated the play structures and added a kiddie area, but the open lawn was thankfully left alone.  They also improved the lawn area by adding several benches and a gazebo.  I have so many memories in this park.  I am glad to see it has, for the most part, remained the same throughout the years, unlike some of the other parks in this series and neighborhood, albeit for the better.  I hope you are able to visit the beautiful neighborhood and enjoy these parks like I did growing up.

Please replace as found to prevent muggles from seeing it.  BYOP & Happy Hunting…
