Come to Exploration Works on Wednesday, November 6th between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm, to celebrate all things caching, and to watch the Launch of the Travel Bug to the Space Station. Every Geocacher who attends an event for watching the launch gets a special Souvenir for their profile page. For details about the Travel Bug and Astronaut, see the Blog post at: The Geocaching Blog. Exploration Works is located at the above coordinates (995 Carousel Way), and is near free parking in the Great Northern Town Center. The first hour of the event will be a geocaching showcase--bring your muggle friends, and get them hooked! We will have laptops provided by the geotour to create accounts, and loaner GPS units to find their first cache in the Geotour, if they wish. Encourage them to bring their smartphones! Experienced cachers can help the newbies locate their first cache, and will be available to answer questions about the game. At 8:45, Heidi O'Brian will give a presentation on the new Geotour launched last spring for anyone who wants more information on it. At 9:00 PM, the logbook for the event will magically appear, and two travel bugs will be given away two lucky event attendees! We will then watch the launch, streamed onto a flatscreen television. This event is open to the public as part of the adult education provided by the venue, and there will be no charge for attendance. Come on out, cachers, and show the community the face of Geocaching!
