You are looking for a camouflaged mini-bison tube placed along the newly extended Green Trail. The cache container is a seedling from a cache that I found in Chicago a couple of years ago. It has room for the log and a pencil only and is placed just off the trail so be careful of muggles when searching. The walk to and from the posted parking is about 2 miles.
Although the Cache is located closer to Lake Rd than the Whiting Road parking lot, there is no parking available on Lake Rd. I recommend using the Whiting Road parking lot and taking the Blue Trail to the Red Trail and then on to the Green Trail.
I have been hiking and bike riding these trails since they were first established and it is nice to see the trail system being extended. Thanks go out to the Scouts and volunteers for all of their hard work on clearing the trails.
