Crkva i samostan bl. Augustina Kažotića izgrađena je uređena u periodu od 1998 do 2009.
Projektirao ju je poznati hrvatski arhitekt Boris Magaš i djelo je suvremene crkvene arhitekture.
Boris Magaš je između ostalog projektirao i Splitski stadion Poljud , Hotelski kompleks “Solaris” Šibenik, Hotelski kompleks Haludovo u Malinskoj,
Crkvu Sv. Nikole sa samostanom u Rijeci i mnoge druge.
Crkva i čitav kompleks smješten je na trgu, platou (postamentu), povišenom 80-90 cm u odnosu na okolinu.
Crkva je također položena paralelno s jednom od glavnih gradskih prometnica te tako dominira obližnjim raskršćem.
U sklopu crkve je i dominikanski samostan

Church and Monastery of the Blessed Augustine Kažotić built in the period from 1998 until 2009.
It was designed by the famous Croatian architect Boris Magas and it's part of modern church architecture.

The Church and the whole complex is located on the square, the plateau (pedestal), elevated 80-90 cm in relation to the environment.
The church is also placed in parallel with one of the city's major roads and so dominates the nearby intersection.
