To solve this problem it has been suggested that in some areas it would be far more practical to make use of existing paths and trailways that can reasonably satisfy the criteria. Seaview Walk, a level 2km wheelchair-accessible path built on the former PGE railbed near Fisherman’s Cove, is an ideal addition to West Vancouver’s expansion of the western sections of the Spirit Trail.
Already serving double duty as a local trail along with being part of the Trans Canada Trail system, Seaview Walk is a leisurely stroll that is easily capable of supporting any increased use that might result from being added to the Spirit Trail network. Unlike the majority of Spirit Trail sections which are paved, Seaview Walk’s rustic charm will likely remain unchanged, with the only updates being official signage and improved wheelchair access at key entry points.
This cache is a short distance away from an area some maps call Butterfly Park. I haven’t seen many butterflies around here on my walks, and the area near the coordinates doesn’t much resemble a park, but you are welcome to pause and take a look around. Just don’t leave the trail! From many places along this route, the view into Fisherman’s Cove is spectacular!
Although I expect you will find your GPSr will be generally well-behaved here, I have provided a very explicit hint in case you encounter difficulty.
