Geocache Description:

Let's gather to celebrate geocaching in space!

Sometime late Nov. 6 or early Nov. 7, astronaut Rick Mastracchio is going to head off to the International Space Station and carrying a travel bug with him! How cool, eh? The taveler (TB5JJN1) is part of an educational tool to help teach students around the world about geography and geocaching.

He's also going to nab a FTF on International Space Station -- how cool is that? Talk about a legit 5/5!

Groundspeak is issuing a sweet souvenir to geocachers who log events on Nov. 6 or Nov. 7. So with that in mind, I'm going to hold this event in hopes that people from the area can come, chat about caching, chat about how cool this is and grab the souvenir in the process.

Hopefully, people can come. I wanted to do one each night in Oneonta and Delhi, but the Oneonta was submitted too late, so it's just this one.

The event will be from 7-7:30 p.m. I'll try and maybe bring a snack and some cider to celebrate the fall, but it's more to be able to look at the sky, talk about caching and appreciate how worldly this game has become! It will be in the outdoors, so be prepared for the weather, whatever it may be. Dress warm, bring an umbrella if needed and stop by.

Hope to see you there!
