Plaque on stone plinth, surrounded by two tablets, and some backgound plaques, mounted on a walled perimeter. The tablets cover WW1 (on the left) and WW2 (on the right). The two tablets were removed from the Epping RSL sub branch of the NSW branch of the Returned and Services League of Australia from the original premises, formed in 1919. This meeting hall was sold and the sub branch moved to Oxford St Epping. In 1995 the club was moved to Rawson St Epping. The two tablets are now mounted at the War Memorial site in Boronia Park and were dedicated on 1st June 2008. Brass Plaque with inscription added 2011, adjacent on right side to existing plaques.
Please use stealth here. There is no need to leave the path to make the find, so please do not trample the memorial gardens.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
From Laurence Binyon’s poem, For the Fallen (1914)
