This container is a bit tricky to remove from it's stash spot, so just try to be gentle and don't force anything. Find the right angle and it'll slide right out. If you're a fraidy cat, bring a brave soul with you.
The factory was born in 1907, so it is about 106 years old. Plenty of time for ghosts of the past to settle in and become territorial! And, what is a spooky place without tragedy? Compound elements, namely, in this case, Hurricane Hazel and Fire, combined efforts in 1954 to wreak havoc on the casket producer and the homes the company had built for its workers. So if, during your visit, you hear the eerie sound of a saw blade's whine, a lonesome moan from the depths of the building, or the creak of a plank under an unseen foot, muster your courage and reflect on all that has happened here. And, if you dare, approach the storied building to tempt fate and put your hands on a cache reminiscent of this factory's heritage.
