De naam boereleute vindt zijn oorsprong in 2 zaken: eerst en vooral is dit een prachtig groen gebied om wandelen, fietsen en ook mountainbiken. Vooral het mountainbiken ligt me – puur recreatief – wel en voornamelijk de route die ik al vele malen bereden heb: de boerenhovenroute (die vind je terug op www.mountainbike.be). Daarnaast ben ik ook nog actief in de badmintonclub (ook weer recreatief 
) Oes Leute (zie www.oesleute.be). Combineer deze twee zaken en je komt bij “boereleute” terecht, het thema van deze klein reek van 5 caches. En omdat geocaching altijd fun is en moet blijven heb ik voor elk van de caches een echte westvlaamse spreuk gebruikt: een spreuk door de mensen gebracht over de mensen. Lees dus maar dat deze spreuken voornamelijk hun oorsprong vonden in de streek van Poperinge die ik dus heb meegekregen via mijn vader. Deze hebben intussen al voor menig glimlach op menig angezichte gezorgd, dus hopelijk ook bij jou. Neem ze vooral niet serieus op en zoek er niet te veel achter, ze zijn puur ludiek bedoeld, dus hopelijk bij jou ook een 
De spreuken worden niet uitgelegd, maar ze worden wel vertaald – lees uitgelegd in t Engels.
En best doe je deze caches met de fiets: een mooie route vinde je op de site van routeyou: BoereLeute Fietstocht RouteYou. Met de mountainbike kan je een paar shortcuts nemen.
Let er ook op dat ik van elke cache toch wel iets speciaals heb proberen te maken. Sommige zijn redelijk breekbaar, draag er dus zorg voor en laat die altijd achter zoals het hoort, ook al heeft de vorige bezoeker dit niet gedaan...
[English introduction] The name of these caches can be freely translated into “humor from farmers / fun amongst people living at the countryside”. The region of these caches is my favourite place for hiking, biking and mountainbiking, it is a nice quiet and green area with a great nature and early morning local animals you can admire. Two parts created the name, the first part I took from a local mountainbike tour called the the ‘boerenhovenroute’ (you can find it on this website: www.mountainbike.be ). The second part comes from the badmintonclub I play in (OesLeute). Combining those two brings us with the name ‘boereleute’ specifically pointing to a some local, funny expressions from people about people (from the countryside). These 5 caches each point to a specific local expression in the local slang (originally from region of Poperinge, where my father grew up). These I will try to explain in English but it might be hard to generate a smile on your face if you do not speak this local slang, I will try it anyway… Don’t take anything in these sayings personal, they are supposed to be funny based on the unexpected comparisons used…
Please also mind that I have tried to make every cache something special. Some of these are fragile or vulnerable, so please take care of them and use them in the proper way. Also leave them behind as they are supposed to be and not really too easy to find, even if the previous visitor took not really care of this.
