The Closes Park offers the community local open recreation space and contains tennis courts, outdoor gym equipment and a children’s play area. We have been told that many years ago, changing rooms and a park keepers office stood roughly where the car park has been constructed and a putting green was on the left as you pass the car park barrier. The car park barrier is kept locked shut now probably due to council cutbacks but there is room to park just in front of it.
