Some Geocachers have the coolest jobs. I was fortunate enough to get invited on one of the coolest Geocaching adventures that I had ever experienced! This is a reenactment of our adventure so that we could share it with the rest of the Geocaching community!
My fellow Geocaching companion is a hydrographer. They study underwater depth of bodies of water like reservoirs, lakes, streams and even the ocean floors for the purposes of safe navigation for shipping goods. Our focus on this particular mission was to measure the interior hydrography of Spalding Park Town Forest.
We started our journey in the late afternoon testing a few areas and caching along the way but by nightfall we noticed something that caused him some concern! Even though it was dark he was required to investigate the situation. So we walked along the waters edge to looking over the water level.
Maybe it was our imaginations or just the shadows in the dark but we both saw people or wildlife take off running as we headed down the trail. Thankfully they or it was on the other side so we didn’t feel we had anything to worry about. (Marked by the location of the cache.)
Continued on the Act: 2 cache page...
This a Night Cache it is to be done no earlier than dusk.
Follow the Fire Tacks along the Trail, if you see 2 = Turn Left, 3 = Turn Right!
Use a UV Flashlight to find the coordinates for the final GC4R749 on the inside cover of the log!
Please be respectful using your flashlights near any houses, keep the light on the trail!
The Hint is a spoiler, so don't use it, unless desperate.
Congratulations to paul.mano on the FTF!
Honorable Mention to Bill the Cat 89 on the STF!
