It is in two parts;
1. complete the cache title.
2. use completed cache title to find cache.
This is easily solvable in the field.
Step 1
To narrow your search, you must head over to the close by Waypoint 1 (N 45° 21.035 W 076° 02.817) and gather three dates from the large information sign. Three tree planting dates are visible; call these dates x, y, and z where x is the earliest and z is the latest date. From these dates, calculate the following;
DR == Digital Root (add all the numbers in a date together to get a single digit value.) For Example - The year 1134 would be 1+1+3+4=9. So the DR of 1134 is 9.
a = DR(y) + DR(z)
b = DR(y) - DR(x)
c = DR(z) - DR(y) - b
d = DR(z) - DR(x)
e = DR(x) + DR(z)
f = DR(z)
Substitute the solution for each lowercase letter into the corresponding spots in the cache title (CFS Carp - REF abc.def GEO)
Solution check; The sum of a+b+c+d+e+f is 25
Step 2
Now head back to the cache coordinates and solve the riddle!! It is important that you are standing at the cache coordinates to solve the riddle; Trust Me! :-)
Where you are now standing used to be a high security military facility administered by the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals (later the Communications and Electronics Branch). As you stand here, looking at all your surroundings, the significance of the cache title from step 1 might become apparent.
