A cache at a must visit spot for those visiting Lochaber.
This cache is at a superb location at one of the most photographed spots in Lochaber with the very best views of Ben Nevis . In the summer the canal is busy with boats locking in and out of sea lock which is worth watching. It is also a popular spot to do some sea fishing of the pier and usually lots of Ducks wanting fed. From here the canal goes some sixty miles NE through the Great Glen to Inverness .The cache is just at the high tide line and I think just out of the way enough for you not to be muggled if your stealthy with your searching.
This cache was placed with the kind permission of Scottish Canals. (This cache was washed out by a very high tide in October and now has a red- ish rock in front of it that has to be removed for access. The new container is a snug fit so ease it out. )
